An Epic FAIL. Democrat Union "Coffee Grounds" Movement Draws Only A Few Thousand To Washington March Despite Paying Union Thugs To Participate

I couldn't help but chuckle to myself when I flipped over to MSNBC to check out the coverage for the "Coffee Grounds Union Thug" march on Washington over the weekend. You know, the one where over 400 unions bussed in the thug activists to march against free markets and de-unionizing America, so that we can once again start to manufacture goods and not ship all our jobs overseas because the unions have driven wages so high. Yeah...let's just say it looked to me like even most of those paid union thugs stayed home because Washington was practically empty. Sure, there were the obligatory up close shots of the crowd that tried to make it look like it was well attended, but when the cameras panned back or showed back streets near the event the streets were like a ghost town. I mean, it's exactly what I expected to see, but I'm sure it came as a shock to all the smarmy naysayers who bothered to cover the Glenn Beck rally or the earlier Tea Party marches. Those marches clogged Washington to almost a point of shutting it down. This pathetic march of paid union thugs drew barley 10,000 marchers. Apparrently it's even hard to motivate union thugs by paying them to come. Who knew that union workers were that lazy? Well, I did, but now it seems the entire world does!

Just a note: It's obvious that the amount of people who showed up to this march was a HUGE letdown for the democrat party because they can't even stand to take the same heat they give after conservative rallies and deleted this original column. It's really, really sad when freedom of speech is being denied by the very party who promotes themselves as the "all-inclusive party"!

What happened Luke?

Your first seed didn't get enough votes for your "thug" accusation?

Where is your "paid" Union link?

"Collapsing" the facts just makes you look foolish.

Found anyone carrying a "thug" sign? or acting "thug-ugly" ?

Edward Nelson NY Public Policy Examiner writes -

After the One Nation March event had ended, Kian Frederick was anxious to find an estimate of how many people attended the rally on October 2, 2010. Having witnessed the large number of supporters that gathered she knew that the One Nation March was a historic event and a huge success. Today, it was learned via satellite that an estimated 175,000 to 200,000 showed-up for the One Nation March. A previous gathering on the Lincoln Memorial hosted by Glenn Beck only gathered an estimated 87,000 to 100,000 people.

Nice non-biased seed there.......Luke. /sarc.

If you want to follow someone such as Beck who is a mental incompetent who has psychological problems with a past of substance abuse problems that is your prerogative. I am sure you will have a few tea party members who will agree with your biased thug reporting.

The real truth will come this November. I know the republicans are in a frenzy right now to regain ground but that doesn't mean the democrats aren't going to go out and vote....they are just quietly waiting for election day.

Peace.....

We all know from the pictures that the place was empty Vooda. I daon't care what the "estimates" from the left say. They couldn't seem to come up with any "estimates" after the Beck march or the million man Tea Party march earlier this year. That's a bogus number and we all know it from the lack of people on the site.

So a satellite lies?

Really it doesn't matter how many attend these rallies but more importantly who votes. I just hope the democrats don't become complacent. They need to light a fire under their butts and let their voice speak!

It is truly frightening to think what will happen if the republican party of today sees victories come November.

Don't you think it's a little bit odd that after the million man Tea Party march and the Glenn Beck march everyone, includin the parks service said there was "no way to estimate how big the crowd was" and now *poof* out of nowhere comes this "satellite estimate" even though pictures clearly show the crowd was considerably less than attended the Beck Rally?

Actually the Beck march was estimated by a company using satellites. They are the one's that put the figure of 87,000 to 92,000 that the neocon's had a hissy fit about. They didn't suddenly apprear "poof" for this rally. Dishonesty is not an attractive trait.

even though pictures clearly show the crowd was considerably less than attended the Beck Rally?

Many of the picture sets that started coming out comparing the two rallies have been shown to be taken at different times when you look at the shadows. Again - more dishonesty.

I also think the company using satellite technology to provide crowd estimates if using the good ol' American trait of an entrepreneur to fill a gap that has been made. Good for them. Hope they can work out the details and kinks.

Luke, keep up the good work. With enough people like you headed to the voting booth in November, we may someday hope to have a country devoid of a middle class. Yes, we'll be drowning in rich people and corporations while the masses struggle to stay alive. Yup, we'll still have the best medical care in the world but only for those rich people. Poor people can make do. Poor people can roam the streets, homeless and jobless. (Maybe they can stay warm in winter by burning up a pile of Korans). Women can bear the children of their rapists, struggling schools for the non-existent middle class can close (thus saving all that otherwise-wasted tax money rich people may now keep). The poor can become employed by joining the military in defense of corporate interests overseas. They can put their lives on the line so corporations can outsource their jobs.

The GOP vision for America. Thanks, Luke!

de-unionizing America, so that we can once again start to manufacture goods and not ship all our jobs overseas because the unions have driven wages so high.

that created the middle class and has nothing to do with sending jobs overseas, unless you advocate Americans start working for 32 cents an hour.

good luck competing with Chinese labor.

The average annual earnings for manufacturing workers in cities were $1,347 (11,152 yuan at the official exchange rate) for the year 2002. Manufacturing workers in the countryside averaged $837 (6,927 yuan) for the year. Urban manufacturing workers average 45.4 hours of work per week, "and it is...reasonable to assume that [rural] manufacturing workers average 50 hours of work per week in 2002

we just need to change our tax code and other regulations that actually reward companies for sending jobs to countries with no minimum wage or labor laws. Can have global free trade if everyone isnt using close to the same rule book. That is unless you want to destroy the US middle class and go back to the medieval type society with two very distinct classes, the rich and the abject poor.

It wasn't remove by NV, it was removed by those who are against freedom of speech!

Two things:

1. If an article is pulled unfairly by the community, the proper course of action is to alert Newsvine moderation. If the article was removed unfairly, it will be restored. Circumventing that process by simply reposting the article is the wrong way to go.

2. The "freedom of speech" relates to the U.S. government being legally unable to violate your ability to express yourself. Newsvine is a privately owned company, and user reports are part of its content vetting process. Other people using the tools put in place by Newsvine to flag objectionable content isn't a violation of your freedom of speech, so please stop misusing that term. It may (or may not) be a violation of Newsvine's policies. If the article was flagged unfairly, moderation will make note of who flagged it and see if they have a pattern of doing so, and take action if they do.

That's really not disagreeing with my statement, ebook. I'm sure some right-leaning articles have been pulled for political reasons, just like left-leaning articles have been. In both cases, the proper response is to contact Newsvine administration to get your article restored. It comes with the added benefit of alerting them to possible gang reporting, so they can note who's doing it and prevent it in the future.

Unless you're contending that Newsvine administration itself has pulled right-leaning articles, in which case I'd ask you to provide even one example.

LOL!

Awww...let's give 'em to them anyway. They need to claim all the people they can for the turnout. Hate to see their fragile, little psyche's get damaged.

Wasn't it CBS that said beck's rally had a turnout of only 87,000? I'd like them to compare the two above pictures and based on their Beck estimate, tell us their Commie Rally estimate. Must be right around 5,000.

American Idle has a seed about this and I find her a lot more credible since she was actually present. Her estimations agree with reliable sources and pictures. Grow up and accept reality........quite swallowing the bs the right is shoveling down your throats.

Hmm. I forgot about them. I hope the recruiting stations in the area were proactive and boarded up their windows. The Pinker's have a nasty habit of throwing rocks through them.

Tom -

I'm just wondering...if I go back in your history and check out comments you've left, will I see any that were negative about the Restoring Honor Rally?
