People never cease to amaze old Luke Wright, especially people on the left. All day long I have been reading stories about how surpised everyone is that republican lawmakers failed to show up at a meeting that President Obama invited them to on Thursday night. Really? Is everyone really all that surprised about it? Really? I mean c'mon, the same people that didn't show up for Obama's meeting are the very same one's that Obama spent the summer calling "Teabaggers","racists" and "the enemy". Why would any sane man(or woman) show up for a meeting with a clearly hostile(and some say unhinged) President Obama when the President has repeatedly called them names and made it clear that he has no interest in working with them? No, I don't think it's really all that big of a surprise to anyone. I smell democrat "faux outrage" on this one. Perhaps because they are coming to the realization that Obama can't do anything without the help of these "Bible clingers", "racists", "Teabaggers" and "the enemy". Maybe this will give the President pause to think about his constant race-baiting and name-calling. Let's all hope he gets the message that Americans are tired of his angry rhetoric and ready for the "racist Teabaggers" to get us out of the mess he has created.

He did not call anyone a tea bagger or a racist. You are lying. As for enemy, he referred to the enemy of hispanics, and then apologized. Any other lies you want to peddle? Don't you teach that beautiful son it is wrong to lie?

The "Tea Party" are the American people. Obama called the People of Arizona racists for their effort to get illegals out of their state. He sided with the Mexican President and the illegal against the Tea Party and the people of Arizona!

First, I don't believe he called the people of Arizona racist. Second, even if he did, that's not the same as calling tea partiers racist.

(Although I would find it unacceptable if he said "the people of Arizona are racist" -- but he didn't say that either).

Also, while the "Tea Party" consists of (mostly? entirely?) American people, the "Tea Part" isn't "the American people." Certainly not all Americans are tea party members and, so, any statement implying that they are is false.

I don't think there's a need to give excuses for the party that came out with a platform of "No" over two years ago. The Republican leadership has an "If I can't have all the power, nobody will" destructive attitude that is purposely causing people loss and hardship.

Perhaps because they are coming to the realization that Obama can't do anything without the help of these "Bible clingers", "racists", "Teabaggers" and "the enemy".

So you call yourself a party of Bible clingers and racists and want respect for that? Personally I don't think God has anything to do with the Republicans being cold, self-centered, self-entitled obstructionist. The people I know who are really clinging to the bible are doing food drives and trying to help this country recover as representatives of Jesus who directed us to fight for social justice and to care for others.

It's obvious that Obama is the real leader in D.C. now. He's the one with fortitude. Mitch McConnell states publicly that his GOP's #1 goal is to ruin Obama's career, yet Obama invites him to his house anyway. But McConnell isn't courageous enough to accept... what a wimp.

Do the math Luke. In 2008 70 million people elected Obama President. Two weeks ago about 39 million voted for the Republicans candidates. You lost two of the last three congressional elections and four of the last five Presidential elections (at least if you count popular votes). You will lost in 2012 after this tantrum is over. This President will stop everything you and the tea baggers do to roll back the changes 70 million voted for. And your proof of "tea baggers" is bull@!$%#. How about your proof of racist. Admit that is a lie too.

No, they did not. A majority in the house will not roll back any of what he has accomplished and will not be able to stop him from continuing because as it becomes clearer and clearer how far out touch these new republicans are with what the American people want, they will support the President. The "people" are more than just the 39 million who voted for the Republicans. Some who supported and continue to support the President, like me, actually voted for Republicans in local elections. Does not mean we have abandoned the President.

I have no doubt that him being black and not completely dedicated to your sense of entitlement is "enough for you", but let's look:

-He got a watered-down version of Bob Dole's healthcare reform plan passed. Grounds for impeachment? Really?

-Women who have healthcare insurance under the plan will be able to get abortions, which aren't against the law, as long as they pay for them themselves. Grounds for impeachment? Really?

-Holding BP accountable for the disaster it caused in the Gulf, instead of having the taxpayers pay for it. Grounds for impeachment? Really?

-Trying to get "cap and trade", which originated with Republicans, passed. Grounds for impeachment? Really?

-Implementing TARP, which was started by Bush. Grounds for impeachment? Really?

-Taking the bankster middlemen out of the issuing of federal government student loans, thereby saving money? Grounds for impeachment? Really?

-Calling for immigration reform, which is something George W. Bush tried to achieve? Grounds for impeachment? Really?

-Following the rule of law, and not prosecuting people when they haven't broken the law? Grounds for impeachment? Really?

That op/ed is pathetic.

Luke, teabaggers were the ones who called themselves teabaggers first, and it caught on. Then they got their undies in a twist when people who knew better were laughing at them. It is absolutely outrageous for the story you linked to say that the term "teabagger" is as bad as the "n" word is to African Americans. By citing such nonsense, you damage your credibility.

I have been to many teabagger events and interviewed at least a couple dozen of these self-proclaimed "patriots." There is no question that many of them are overtly racist, while many more are at minimum fearful of a government headed by a half-black president they've been brainwashed into believing will take from whites to give to the "others."

If they don't want to be called teabaggers, tell them to stop doing @!$%# like this.

If they don't want to be called racists, tell them to stop doing @!$%# like this.

And why would that be James? Is the idea of voting for someone other than a brain dead teabagger that problematic for you? Forget about an independent thought, do you ever have a thought? Judging by your posts, you seem to be more of a mimic. Hear it on Fox, repeat it. See it on WND, or Michelle Malkin or Breitbart or anyone of the thousands of blogs where tea baggers go to share their lies and delusions, repeat it. Your understanding of any of the issues faced by the government is as shallow as possible. And your sign off, "peace"' is that supposed to be ironic? There is nothing peaceful about your twisted views.

You also apparently do not know that about 95% of all independent and third party candidates were kicked off the PA ballot by challenges from the Repubs and Dems.

I stand by my comment that he is without independent thought in politics...that he goes along with the status quo.

they both vote to raise taxes and or voted to control peoples choices and behavior.

It is a much better use of your vote to use it with some fringe group, right? I know it makes you feel special to vote for the libertarian, the Constitutionalist candidate of some other "pure" political ideology. But the rest of us live in the real world and would prefer not to waste our votes with a quixotic quest. The arrogance of those who follow these fringe parties is hilarious.

What is so freaking bad? The last 100 years, with democrats and republicans in power, have seen this nation go from a regional agrarian power to the most powerful and influential nation in the world. We have our problems, but you seem to want to ignore that we would not be the nation we are without the contribution of democratic politicians and republican politicians. It is easy supporting a party that has never had to govern; never had to put their theories into practice. The marketplace if ideas has placed the proper value on libertarianism or any other third party, fringe -ism; none. If they had a product worth buying, they would not have trouble getting more than one or two percent of the vote. I know, the 98 % who vote for democrats and republicans are not as smart or well read or pure as libertarians. No, democrats and republicans have to do more than talk about their ideas for governance, they have to put them into practice.

you underestimate the power of people wanting to force others to live how they want them to.

          hence democrats/republicans.

and actually we were set to become the superpower we were long before dems/repubs gained tyranical control in the 30's...

sorry...they are living off of what free men made....and are slowly destroying it...that is why the more our government takes over the worse we do globally.

we are destroying ourselves from within with corruption. through wanting to force others how to live and making the government all powerful.

          its really very simple.

oh and you are right 98% of dems/repubs are not as smart or well read as libertarians. I can comfortably state that the average libertarian could destroy the average dem or repub in a political or world history test.

we are the most knowledgeable on average and that is why we are who we are.

and its easy to figure out why the public doesnt go with us.....we dont offer them something for nothing.

          think about it.

          its actually quite sad.

Nonsense. You need to change history to somehow justify your fringe political beliefs. You have to argue this the country has failed over the last forty years in order to claim that those men and women who actually have had the responsibility for making decisions during that time have had it all wrong and that had they only listened to libertarian theorists, things would be so much better. The one thing libertarians fear most is actually being placed in a position to actually make decisions. You guys would be like deers caught in the headlights if ever forced to put you "theories" into practice. Go ahead and ponitificate and theorize and let the responsible adults handle things. As long as your theories are just that, theories, you can do no harm.

Sorry to tell you this KGMO, but republican lawmakers are not paid with "obamabucks", neither does he sign their paychecks. The American people spoke on November 2nd. What they said in a historic landslide avalanche victory that day was they don't want the democrat party in charge of running the country. No, not this kind of republican victory. Not one where republicans took over 11 governorships,19 state governments, 691 seats in total. So many that when they re-draw districts this term they can assure republican winners for the next ten years or more. Also 67 seat pickups in the house and 5 in the senate. No, this was an historic landslide that has never been seen before in American politics.

Nice try but in 1957 the Republikans added "In GOD We Trust" by 1965 the silver was gone from the paper as well as the coinage but, we still had GOD so take it on "FAITH" because there is NO back up plan.

Then in 1971 good old Tricky Dicky floated the dollar against gold and sold us out to the Chinese.

Biggest E-V-E-R!!!? Hardly. The seats won in American elections are not directly proportional to the popularity of the parties. The American people weren't yelling as loudly as you think.

Looking at the House, 85,649,021 votes were recorded. Of those, 44,611,545 or 52.09% of the vote went to Republican candidates and 38,328,014 or 44.75% went to Democratic candidates. A difference of 6,283,531 votes or 7.34%.

Let's compare that to 2008 House elections. 122,686,190 votes were recorded 65,241,408 or 53.18% for the Democratic candidates and 52,184,380 or 42.53% went to Republican candidates. A difference of 13,057,028 or 10.65%.

2010 Governors: 69,608,747 Total. 33,436,310, 48.03% Republican. 32,550,563, 46.76% Democratic. That "historic landslide" in the states came down to 885,747 or 1.27% of the vote.

There were only 11 Gubernatorial seats up in 08 but Democratic candidates won by 420,120 votes or 2.96%. In 06, when 36 seats were up, Democratic candidates won by 3,832,902 or 5.84% of the vote.

This year the Senate went Republican by 3,166,625 votes or 4.2%. In 08 the Senate went Democratic by 4,546,788 or 6.85% of the vote.

So there are some facts to chew on. Hardly historic, Republicans couldn't even match the popular margins of the previous election. How about that?

Don't forget 1913 and the Federal Reserve Act which set the stage for 1933. Which president signed the Fed Res Act? And who was controlling Congress? Oh yes:

Thomas Woodrow Wilson (December 28, 1856 – February 3, 1924) was the 28th President of the United States. A leader of the Progressive Movement,

In his first term, Wilson persuaded a Democratic Congress to pass the Federal Reserve Act, Federal Trade Commission Act, the Clayton Antitrust Act, the Federal Farm Loan Act and America's first-ever federal progressive income tax in the Revenue Act of 1913. Wilson brought many white Southerners into his administration, and tolerated their expansion of segregation in many federal agencies.[1]

No, Luke, they ARE playing games. I don't know anything about faux outrage, I'm not outrage, but, I'm not surprised either..not after their meeting on Jan 29, 2009.

They didn't like the results of that one, so, they ARE playing games..no doubt they leaked this faux story...

I, as an American tax playing citizen, just want the COUNTRY TO COME FIRST, not the petty tit-for-tat BS that has been going on for 20+ years.

They told his they couldn't come on the 18th because of scheduling conflicts with new members going through orientation this week.

that was a lie. Lawrence odonnell had mcconnel and no broehner followed. there was an address to the heritage foundation on how to make obama a one term president and nothing at all that would excuse the arrogance.

The best thing for right wingers is to have an unadulterated exposure to exactly what they wanted. When they've enjoyed as much of raw corpo as they can stand, maybe it still won't be too late. maybe it already is.

Rachael ,, Did you miss what he said about the People of Arizona when we passed a law(SB1070) against people that are in this Country Illegally. He did call Arizonians a bunch of "Racist" and even did a news spot on TV where he Lied to the American people and said, I quote, "If you live in Arizona and you go out with your kids to get ice cream, you are going to be stopped for being Brown".

Of course he tried to back up after so many people including me, called him on the fact that he either hadn't or couldn't read the Law we passed ! As the Law SB1070 clearly stated that "Race" Could Not be used in any way for making a stop.

Obama and Eric Holder both admitted that in fact they had not read the Law (SB1070) before they issued their hateful comments towards the people of Arizona. Neither has ever given an apology for what they said or for being wrong.

ArizonaBill........ because that law is racist. There are already reports out that Hispanics have left Ariz which is what the white people who wrote that racist law wants. I read a report that said 100,000 Hispanics have left the state of Ariz.

No one has to read that law to know that it is a race base law.

ArizonaBill the law was conceived by a person who has racist ties.....Russell Pearce. It was conceived in order to justify (and for political kickbacks for unused prisons) AZ paying 11 million dollars a month in prison costs. I wonder just how many non minorities would have or will be stopped to be asked for papers.

Lifeisgood,,,I will agree with you on a few points here.

One being that it is true that the News reported 100,000 Hispanics "Choose" of their own free will to leave Arizona. This was mostly cause by the fear that was generated by the lies that the Hispanic Leaders and people like Obama told to them.

The truth is that no Legal Hispanic people have been in any way harmed or injured by the new law SB1070 since it went into affect ! But it has helped in the capture and deportation of Illegals.

And yes most of SB1070 went into affect months ago, only a few parts (3) were referred to the Ninth Circuit Court and they heard them on Nov. 2nd and have yet to rule on those parts of the law.

Another truth is that in no way is a law that is only directed at criminals as race based law, and SB1070 clearly states for all that can read that Race nor Skin Color may be used in making a stop or determining if a person is or is not an Illegal alien ! Sorry but those are the true facts ! The rest are just Lies told by people that simply want to instill fear in the Hispanic people.

ArizonaBill....... you do know why Hispanics are leaving right. I say that they don't want to be harass every freaking time they leave their home. Believe me when I say it sucks and makes your day have a bad taste in your mouth when you are stopped by cops. Has a black man who has had 9 DWB' s in my lifetime, I know about being stopped by cops for doing nothing more than walking or driving in America.

What do you mean "no legal Hispanic" would be harmed. Tell me how does the cop know what or who is legal. I can only assume that you mean no legal Hispanic should not have a problem getting pulled over and detain to see right. I can only assume that you think that legal Hispanics should be happy to be stopped on their way to see family or do errands.

So you think that you know that no legal Hispanics have been harmed. Wow, you don't know crap. How about those harmed by having to move out of Ariz. Do those people count. Also how many legal Hispanics that moved were stopped already. I bet that some that have left Ariz has already been harassed. You know "Harmed"

You know you really are clueless if you think that race didn't or does play a part into that racist law. Tell me about the laws that are suppose to protect me from my 8 DWB's. You know that law that says I can't or shouldn't stopped for my black skin. Wow huh

lifeisgood43,, Which is it 9DWB or DWB ? As you site both in your reply. And old saying is that, "you don't have to remember what you said , when you are telling the truth."

Example, I didn't say "What do you mean "no legal Hispanic" would be harmed." I said "None have in any way harmed or injured by the new law" if you read my comment. You ask how do I know this, Well none have reported any problems.

The 100,000 Hispanics that left, Chose to leave because of Fear and Lies spread by the so-called Hispanic Leaders and Activist. But the 1,685,737 that Choose to stay are still here and as far as I know living as well as the rest of us.

As for having to show your ID when stopped by a cop, well grow up we all have to do it and have had to for the last 80 years or so, so get use to it as it didn't start with SB1070.

I personally am proud to show my ID if stopped because I have nothing to hide and I am not ashamed of who I am. I would suggest you should feel the same. After all, if it just cost me a little time on the side of the road to help Law Enforce get rid of Illegals, I don't mind one bit. And I think it is a small price to ask of Americans that support their Country.

Ariz... it is 9 DWB's. I don't have to lie about that crap. As a black man, I get the stares from the man in blue. I have never ran into a cop that didn't stare me down. That is a freaking reality of my life. Rather you choose to believe make no matter to me. I just gave my views on cops that profile even when the law says you can't. I just pointed out how you seem to not care about the harassment because you deem illegal that bad to you that you don't have a problem getting stop. Well that is you. See I don't like that crap. I have had to many cops pull their guns on me. The sad thing is that I have never been arrested.

Now I don't know if you have been detain for doing nothing. I don't know unless you tell me. But from my personal experiences, "IT IS NOT FUN AT ALL"

So once again, those 100,000 you claim only left because of fear using are the ones that this law attacks. Don't you understand that. WHT in the hell makes you think that those people want cops to stop them when they are going about their way. You are saying that those 100,000 should have just stay in Ariz even though that law makes them "Illegal" in the eyes of cops who can be and will be nasty to some of those 100,000 people. But hey, according to you they should just "Grin and Bear it"

Well this American refuse to pay that small price

aren't you astute! sure, i'm calling them racists. let's look at some of the events that have taken place since obama has taken office.

            1. a congressman from the south calls obama a liar during an address.

            2. a supreme court justice shows his partisanship during a presidential speech(state of the union) that obama is delivering.

            3. two southern senators refuse to compromise with anything obama proposes because it is their stated intention to make sure that obama is a one term president. doesn't matter to them how it will affect the nation, rather, it matters how it will affect the conservative agenda.

had any democratic politician treated any republican president with such disrespect the noise from the right would have been deafening. president obama has done nothing as bad as his 4 immediate predecessors. unlike reagan, the two bushes, and clinton, he has no ethical problems. so why is it that a black man in the white house is excoriated at every turn by the conservatives?

Now that is so funny. I guess the people not wanting to meet the Pres are afraid if him. I guess that not meeting Pres Obama means that his haters have no back bone to say things in his face. There are people who think our ancestors ran with dinosaurs and the sun orbits the earth and that the earth is flat and that there really were WMD in Iraq when Bush started his War Based on Lies in 2003.

Indeed, I am surprised. Especially since the President never did any of those things. What he did do is embarrass the hell out of 'em when he accepted their invitation to meet and take questions from them back in January. They thought they'd be able to use that as a way to embarrass him with their really clever questions but he ran circles around them and both literally and figuratively ate their lunch. So, they did what cowards do...they ran and hid and made up some ridiculous excuses that even the lamestream media could see through.

Odd thing here regarding this article. I do NOT recall the Obama Administration saying ANY of those things these past couple of years, although I wished he had. If anything, he has been avoiding way too much by NOT saying anything. These 'groups' have got as far as they have by BEING inflammatory, by BEING polarizing and by doing much the same as in this article by distorting the facts of the events as they occurred. The moral of this little story is, is media outlets cannot make opinions and then distort the facts to support those opinions. OPINIONS MUST BE BASED UPON BONIFIED FACTS. Face the facts and then opinionate from there.

The Teapottie, the American political right, the republican party, social conservative, what ever you call it, racism is about half a good quality in that mob of ideological idiocy in that its one thing their lack of sense is un-able to defend no matter how much of it fills their ranks.

I see the political/religious right, and it is one in the same, as both a self righteous and undeservedly arrogant and wholly un-Christian religious insanity on top of a massive bent towards bigotry and ideological poison disregarding history, education, reason or simple rational thought at every step.

I look at this 'article' and those who can support such and wonder what is wrong with their brains?

Is it the ideology? Is it the religion? Is it both?

What makes you people so crazy?

            Seriously?

I love all the diversionary tactics going on here. The issue isn't whether Obama said they were racists. The entire story of Obamas candidacy and presidency has been one of race baiting and racial politics. So there's really nothing to be said by the left on the matter

The real issue is that he and the entire left have ignored the Republicans for two years. He considers them his enemy. Now that Obama needs Republicans to get anything done he's suddenly interested in talking. Before the paint is dry in their offices he wants them on his doorstep so he can show the world he's still in control. Well guess what. He's not in control any more. Republicans aren't playing his game. I hope they ignore him for the next two years.

It that was true, he never would have won in the first place.

It's childish behavior on the part of the Republicans, and yes- it's also fear that they'll get rhetorically spanked like they did when they invited Obama to that Republican retreat.

No, the real issue is that, although the Republicans campaigned on a platform of getting things done and "doing the people's business", their true objective is to make sure that absolutely nothing is accomplished during the next two years -- stall the economic recovery and sustain the suffering of the middle class -- in the hopes that doing so damages Obama's chances for reelection.

By skipping the meeting, they are simply sending a message to the nation that they have no intention of even pretending to work with the Democrats on the various national problems that need to be solved.

yeah, we are so much better now...unemployment at 9.6 %, 5 tillion in debt under the Dems, a financial bill that hampers everybody but those little devils in the fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who were getting and giving kickbacks, Obamacrapcare, TSA feeling up people and trampling rights, nothing done on his recent trip to Asia, and a treaty that will only harm American that Obama is pushing, and let's not forget, suing a state that is trying to curb illegals from coming in, Gitmo still open, Losing more and more soldiers in Afghanistan in a war we can't win because we have to play it PC, a terrorist tried in a civilian court and out of 276 convictions only one stuck that will probably be appeals (and won't that be great of he walks?), taking over the auto industry, the student loan industy, the royal screwup in the gulf....did I miss anything? An honest man who looks at both sides of the issue knows you could easily write the following.

President proposed a meeting with The Tea Party and other conservatives, even though they accused the president of being a being a cryptic muslim, racist, Nazi,Socialist, extremest Communist progressive, and questioned his birthright. The Tea teabaggers and the small minded mean politicians of the extreme right refused to meet him.

An honest man would see both sides. I know this is a waste you folks are blind to facts and reason.

I see the author referring to those words, but NO QUOTES FROM OBAMA. If he wants to be credible with such assertions, he needs solid, varifable quotes.

While everyone in Washington is forever patrolling their self image ever vigilant against an attack from they, them or the other guy, nothing gets done.

So, while I'm not too surprised at the tit-for-tat positioning by politicians, I am taken aback by the public who seem to view the arena of politics as they view a professional wrestling match. Of course, it doesn't really matter if legislation comes to a dead stop and our system of government is weakened as long as folks can make a tired point about their personal feelings.

The president is not the boss of Congress. He is not their superior in any way, shape or form. The president is a paid employee of the people, paid to administer the laws passed by Congress and command the military in times of war. He has no authority to command anyone in the 3 co-equal branches of the federal government. No one in either Congress or the Supreme Court has to jump when he makes a request. They are NOT paid to do so, they are his equals.

The Republicans told him back when he first made the request that they couldn't make it the day he invited them, that they could do it later in the month. No one in Obama's administration has justification for going into a tizzy and I haven't seen any of his spokespeople doing so, only the media and Obama's die hard supporters have.

            Perhaps The Real Question Is...

Why would serious-minded folk consent to meet with the T people?

It looks to me as though the far right has played entirely into President Obama's hand.

If they want to cut themselves off from the President, so be it. But neither should the right complain at the absence of Presidential invitations hereafter. All he need do is to point out that 'the ball is in their court.' Of course the far right would sooner die than come crawling back. I say 'hold them to their decision!'

Let the Republican Party figure out what to do with this faction.

            Dear Isaac:

Racist? Let's put it this way. Since you raised the issue, you may have some sensitivity here. Not all Republicans are racist; but many racists are Republicans.

If you read carefully, you would see that I use 'far right' and 'T people' (alas, elsewhere 'T-Potty) interchangeably. And clearly, the context of my remark was not the election our President's post-election response to the hard right.

If the 'hard right' (meaning 'far right,' 'T people' or 'T-Potty') refuses to meet the President, then he has all the reason he needs NOT to deal with them. Unless they come to him.

And as I said, they'd rather die.

Therefore, a refusal to meet with the President means that he is under no onus to meet them. He asked, they refused. No discussion. All the best!

Imagine that! An article based on Obama calling Tea Baggers, Tea Baggers.

I'm not surprised they didn't show up. After making their careers on calling the President a Marxist, Socialist, An African, a Muslim, a thug.....and then have to face him after all that...

But that's ok, lets just turn it around like he offended the Right. Yeah, that feels better huh?

Teabaggers is rather weak; they should aptly be called:

A stale bag of Libertarian favored leavings seeped in an evaporating puddle of Republican secretions is the recipe for the elixir being marketed by TEA Party Pirates from the backend of a Trojan Horse. Served with Limbaugh Cheese and Fox Droppings will produce a foul gas and fungus among us requiring a Liberal dosage of the United States Constitution to clear the air and eradicate the malfeasant spores.

I personally am glad the Republicans won simply because they now have some skin in the game.

Up to this point they were free to just say no, sit on the sidelines and privately root for the country to fail.

Some like Senator Jim DeMint took a more active role in trying to promote his failure

as a taxpayer I already have 'SKIN IN THE GAME" it is why the obama regime disgusts me so much..he seems to feel that some of us "enemies" don't fall into this category...and if all the repubs can do the next couple of yrs. is just say NO to team obam then they are doing what I elected them to do..put the brakes on obam..then the country does not fail ..failure is letting obam run wild with his/soros's wish list..

I am a Liberal Independent! It's to bad those folks with legitimate concerns are gullible to the elixir being marketed by the TEA Party Pirates.

The Republicans can sit down with the President and try to find a happy median with the President. The Democrats were given a mandate for the last two years, they were elected to control both chambers of Congress and the Presidency by the Majority.

The Republicans have been given the lead in the House but they do not have a mandate other than to work with the Democrats who still control the Senate, and the President. Checks and balances are in place! Chew on that.

Why work with people looking to wreck the country? For the Republicans to cooperate with liberals would be like a homeowner working with the burglar to get his stuff stolen.
